DESCRIPTION

This is an absolute beautiful example of a driver quality Porsche 356 A model sunroof coupe.
It combines the great style and lines of the A model series cars, but has the late mechanicals that came on the 356 C/SC cars. This car drives like an absolute dream, and really turns heads when it is seen driving around. Open up the sunroof and feel the wind as you drive through the back country seeing how well this car handles the corners and powers in and out of the approaching bends.
This car was originally a Californian car and was restored by Ahmed Rasheed a former NFL player and now ESPN commentator. Money was no object for Mr Rasheed, and he asked for a beautiful A model sunroof coupe that he could drive daily. Late model running gear was added by the restoration shop, as was an alarm system and also a stereo system. Both these features can be pulled out should the new owner wish not to utilize the alarm or stereo.
The car still retains its original floors and longditionals. The battery box has been replaced. At sometime, someone has used a jack on the floor to jack up the car and put a dent in the floor. It is a dent that will pop out by hitting the inside of the floor will a dolly and hammer. Closing panels look nice and original. The car looks very straight with no signs of a clip on the front or rear of the car.
The car's gaps are good. The door gap where the door striker hits will need to be adjusted. The rubber may need to be replaced with a softer rubber to get the door to sit flush with the body.
The mechanicals are in great shape. The engine case is unstamped on the 3rd piece.

The exact mileage on this car is unknown. I would rate the paint about an 8 out of 10. There are some stone chips on the front of the car and one or two small blemishes on the car. No evidence of rust found on this car. I would say this is a solid example of an A coupe.
Overall, this is a very well sorted out A sunroof coupe that is capable of being driven anywhere. It is in good driver condition and has some great history. It is a real eye catcher of a car. Drive and/or show this car and it will bring smiles from ear to ear.
This car is available for inspection in Atlanta, GA. I will help assist any interested parties in shipping within the United States or overseas.
